Madalene Hill, a former president of The Herb Society of America (HSA), passed away on March 5, 2009.
An important and influential member of the herb community, Hill received many awards from The HSA and several other horticulture organizations. Several plants, such as Madalene Hill Rosemary, and a garden have been named after her. She founded The Rosemary Circle, which recognized those who belonged to the HSA for 25 years.
Hill will be missed by The Herb Companion.
