Gooseberry Pie Recipe

An easy pie to make, gooseberry pie is a dessert like no other.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups stemmed and tailed gooseberries
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    4 1/2 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons butter
    9" double pie crust

Directions

  • Combine first four ingredients and let stand while you prepare the crust. Preheat oven to 400F. Make your favorite pie crust recipe or borrow ours. Bake for ten minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake until pie crust is golden brown, approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
