Make this Cheese Beer Spread Recipe to give as a homemade holiday food gift everyone will appreciate.
Open one can or bottle (12 ounces) of beer and let it stand while you grate 1-1/2 pounds (6 cups) of sharp cheddar cheese and crumble 1/4 pound of blue cheese. Mix the two cheeses together with 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt and 1 teaspoon of dry mustard . . . then blend in 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of softened butter, 2 tablespoons of finely minced green onions, 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, and 1/8 teaspoon of red pepper sauce. Add the beer gradually, while you beat the whole creation with an electric mixer until it's creamy. This spread is quite thin when first made, but sets up as it chills. Keep it refrigerated.
