You can use boxed wine plastic inserts to store emergency water supplies.

Hurricane prep is a high priority in southeast Texas. My husband and I collected used jugs and 2-liter bottles for saving water should a hurricane be in the forecast, but we found this took up a lot of space.

Then I began to use the bags from boxed wine. They are actually made from a really durable plastic, and the spouts from some brands are easily removable, so the bags can be cleaned thoroughly. The spouts can be cleaned and stored as well. You can roll up the bag and fit at least 10 — plus spouts — in a shoe box. You’ll have 10 bags with spouts that are each able to hold approximately 2 gallons of water.
