Country Lore: Stop Birds Flying Into Windows

If you have a problem with birds flying into windows, attaching a simple piece of garden netting to the window's exterior might deter them.

| August/September 2010

I’ve discovered a simple, inexpensive way to prevent birds from flying into windows. I cut a piece of garden netting the same size as the window glass and taped it to the exterior. I used clear Scotch packing tape, about a 2-inch piece in each corner. Larger windows may require more pieces of tape. This tape is very durable.
