Background: Jonnystudies English and  Environmental Policy at William & Mary and draws from a lifetime of perspective-building experiences that led him to his love for sustainable agriculture. He is focused on using the knowledge of how to grow one’s own food to build community.

Jonny believes that environmental degradation and the oppression of historically marginalized groups are indelibly linked, forming a feedback loop that will require a united effort on the part of activists, teachers, and farmers to disrupt. Jonny is a firm believer in the efficacy of a writer’s ability to contribute to this effort.
