Name: Jennifer Huhta
Occupation: Teacher, Production Handspinner
Residence: Ontario, Canada
Background: Jennifer began her love of fiber arts at a young age, when her grandmother taught her to knit at the age of 6. As an adult, she learned to spin her own yarn and has spent the last decade expanding her experience and knowledge of yarn production, and now passes that knowledge on through hands-on workshops held at her local yarn shop. She also teaches high school and enjoys weaving fiber arts instruction into her courses. From her grandmother, she also inherited an entrepreneurial spirit, and began an online shop carrying spinning tools and fibers, and handspun yarns.
Current Projects: Jennifer is teaching yarn-spinning classes, writing for fiber arts publications, running an online business, and working with Canadian shepherds to creatively promote their fleeces.
