Background: Antonette’s deep connection with nature began at a young age when she would spend her days playing in the forest and climbing apple trees in her own backyard. She is currently the Art Director and designer for a permaculture research farm in Middletown, Md, where she can often be found sketching designs, teaching in the food forest, or playing with the chickens.
Antonette believes in a holistic design approach and strives for landscapes that unite ecology with aesthetic to create beautiful natural systems that benefit all life forms. She is happiest when she is barefoot in her garden , playing with her kids, or teaching others how to implement systems designed by nature right in their backyard.
She is a Certified Permaculture Designer, studied under Andrew Millison through Oregon State University and a Member of Permaculture Institute of North America. She helped implement sustainable education and certification for her hometown as Chairwoman of Sustainable Brunswick.
