MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR sponsor Purina has given us TEN 40-pound bags of Layena Plus Omega-3 poultry pellets!
Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid necessary for proper heart and brain function, growth and development. Because the human body can’t make Omega-3, it has to come from our diet. What better way than through fresh eggs?
Layena Plus Omega-3 chicken feed significantly enhances the Omega-3 content of backyard eggs, and is made with the same natural grains as the original Layena feed, with added flaxseed.
This fabulous FREE chicken feed also helps your hens in these ways:
-
Increases Omega-3 content of eggs to 200 mg per large egg. Typical eggs only have up to 65 mg Omega 3!
- Vegetarian formula without added antibiotics or hormones
- Enhanced with Vitamin E for healthy birds and wholesome egg
- Select level of marigold extract for rich, golden yolks
- Key levels of calcium and manganese for strong shells with fewer cracks
- Complete Feed – no oyster shell or grit required
- 16 percent-protein, high-calcium ration formulated for top-producing laying birds once they reach 18 weeks of age

- Tell us how many hens you have on our Purina Poultry Pellet Contest post no later than Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 3:00 PM Central (1:00 PM Pacific)
