The 2010 MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR is almost here! Our first-ever FAIR will be held at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 25 and 26. Seven Springs is about two hours southeast of Pittsburgh. Seven Springs is adjacent to Laurel Hill State Park, a beautiful preservation consisting of 3,935 pristine, mountainous acres in Pennsylvania’s Somerset County. Visit the park’s website for more information on camping and other activities.
The FAIR will be a fun, family-oriented sustainable living event, with dozens and dozens of workshops and practical, hands-on demonstrations from experts in organic gardening, country skills, renewable energy, small-scale agriculture, green building, green transportation, natural health and much more.
Right now, the MOTHER EARTH NEWS team and our friends from Grit, The Herb Companion, Natural Home and Utne Reader are busy bees getting everything ready. But check back with this blog all weekend for news, photos and videos from the event!
If you’re headed to the FAIR, we’re looking forward to meeting you. If you can’t make this event, don’t despair. We hope there will be a FAIR in your neck of the woods in 2011.
