Skip the store-bought sink cleaners and make your own DIY bathroom scrub instead using nontoxic ingredients and herbs grown from your own garden. The best homemade bathroom cleaner!
This scrub is lightly abrasive and safe for most surfaces, but be careful with delicate sink material. With these ingredient amounts, you can clean about four average-sized sinks. Make this scrub as you need it, but any excess can be stored in the cleaning closet for up to two weeks. Add more vinegar to “re-animate” it if it dries out.
Homemade Bathroom Sink Scrub
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon coarsely ground fresh sage
Directions:
- Mix coarsely ground herbs and cream of tartar together in a small bowl.
- Stir in vinegar to make a paste.
- With a clean cloth, rub about 1 tablespoon of the scrub onto the surface of the sink to create a light film, and then rinse with clean water.
Note: If you want to avoid any leftover paste, make the powdered mix in Step 1 and add enough fresh vinegar each time just for the cleaning task at hand.
