Mix-and-Match Mama Eatsby Shay Shull (Harvest House Publishers, 2016) will be your go-to resource for easy meals. In the same cookbook series as Mix-and-Match Mama Simmers, this cookbook will have you serving up meals in no-time. These variations to your standard oatmeal are anything but bland!

Oatmeal is one of my favorite things to make and eat in the morning. It’s simple, it’s hot, and it’s versatile. On a crazy morning, all you do is whip up one batch of your favorite oatmeal or steel cut oats and then each of your kiddos can top it any way they like. Let them mix and match it!

Toasted Coconut and Macadamia Nut Oatmeal

For this topping, I just placed a handful of shredded coconut and macadamia nuts in a clean, dry skillet and toasted them up about 2 minutes together. Then, sprinkle the toasted goodness on top of your oatmeal. Simple and done!

Walnut Butterscotch Oatmeal

This topping is such a cinch! Just sprinkle a handful of butterscotch chips and walnut pieces on top of hot oatmeal. The chips will get all melty and delicious running through your breakfast.
