Easy-to-Make, Frozen Applesauce Cubes

The next time you make applesauce, consider setting some aside as a special treat for the youngsters in your life.

My children loved applesauce when they were young. After harvesting apples, I would make applesauce and freeze it in ice cube trays. I then popped the cubes out of the tray when they were frozen and kept them in plastic bags in the freezer.

These ice cube molds are a convenient serving size for young children. They’re also easy to pop out and give to teething children with sore gums, but make sure you let the cubes thaw a little bit first so they’re not a choking hazard.
