Combine 3/4 cup of honey with 1/3 cup of water and boil
until the mixture is an amber color (do not stir during
this boiling). Stir 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar into
the mixture just before taking it from the stove. Then
place enough washed and opened figs on a greased cookie
sheet to cover it, and pour the candy over them.
