Best Way to Dry a Bundle of Herbs

Next time you’re ready to hang a bundle of herbs or flowers to dry, follow these instructions for making a simple herb-drying tool.

| April/May 2015

As we enter the growing season and herbs and flowers become readily available for harvesting and drying, this herb-drying tool will save you considerable time and frustration while hanging herbs to dry.

First, drill holes through the ends of some clothespins, and then thread a string through each hole and tie the pins to your herb-drying rack or line. Clip a bundle of herbs or flowers to each suspended clothespin. By using different lengths of string, you can vary the height of the herb bundles, which will allow for good air circulation.
