Boo-Hoo: How to Cut Onions Without Crying

While canning a large batch of vegetable soup, I discovered how to cut onions without crying. I placed a small fan adjacent to my cutting board, so the fan blew the onion fumes across the board and away from me. 

I can now peel and cut onions all day long and not shed a tear. (Do stay away from the downwind side of the fan, though.)
