Join a seed co-op and save money on garden seeds.

One of the best ways I’ve found to save money on seeds is to join or form a seed buyers’ co-op. The co-op is a loosely organized group of people who buy seeds together, thereby enjoying quantity discounts and sharing shipping expenses.

Our seed co-op meets at a member’s house to order the seeds. When the seeds come, we divvy them up and get our change. Both meetings begin with chatting, progress to “business,” and then end with a hearty meal.
