For years, we’ve been harping on the ecological consequences of buying bottled water, and we’re not alone. Green-building company PM Architecture recently released a slide show presentation with some pretty scary facts about bottled water usage and waste in the United States (example: 1,500 water bottles wind up in the trash every second). Check out the slide show and let us know what you think about it by leaving a comment below.

I checked out the slide show. I started drinking bottle water by the cases after I found out about the acidity in the water. Wheather it be bottled or tap. The tap water in my city is a 6.0 The bottle water that I am drinking now is 7.3, I am drinking it for better health. Not convenience.
Recently read an article about BPA's in plastic water bottles but didn't realize just how huge the garbage problem is. Also, really amazed at the incredible waste of money and resources that would be better directed to more worthy endeavors!
That is an informative slide show, but it has a statement that was debunked by the Pacific Institute two years ago. Specifically, 17 million barrels of oil would be enough to fuel 1 million cars, not 100,000!
