Country Lore: "Eggs for Sale" Sign

This folding signs lets potential customers know at a glance whether or not you have eggs for sale on a given day or not.

| June/July 2010

We’ve created a useful way of marketing eggs from our farm driveway. We first started with an ice chest during cool winter months. Then we upgraded to a refrigerator that’s plugged in outside of our barn. We painted the word “eggs” on the front to keep anyone who needs a beer fridge from driving away with it. Out at the end of our driveway, we have an egg-shaped folding sign we can flip up or down, letting potential customers know whether or not we have eggs for sale. If we are out of eggs that day, they don’t even have to get out of the car.
