These tiny wire trees are fun to create and make enchanting gifts.

I use silver wire to make these little wire trees. Sometimes I use round-nose pliers to shape the trunks, but most of the time I just use my hands and allow the little imperfections that actually make each tree perfect.

After I have the trunk done, I usually use pliers to shape the limbs. After they’ve taken shape, I use wire cutters to cut the limbs to the right length. For willows, I just fold the limbs down to make the “weeping” part and add beads to the end of the limbs. This makes them look a little more enchanting.

Finally, after the limbs and trunk have been shaped, I wrap the roots around something stable, such as a rock, a button or, my favorite, a coin.

These wire trees aren’t supposed to look perfect or even similar to one another — it’s all about how different they are and the fun you have creating them.
