Waaay back, before computers, people routinely communicated by letter sometimes typed, but usually handwritten with an ink pen. For some people, this was a weekly task and so merited a special place for paper, envelopes, stamps and writing implements. A desk was the obvious choice for such supplies, but for folks on the go, a laptop desk was the perfect solution.

Today’s laptop computers combine all of these functions and supplies into one easy-to-use machine. We have all seen folks at the airport or in waiting rooms with their computers propped up on their knees, typing away. But it never looks comfortable. So, at home, while plunked down in your favorite chair, should you want to use your laptop computer, you might find that a laptop desk, such as this one, is just what you need to have the computer at the right height and angle for typing. And maybe, if you find it convenient, you might even try penning an old-fashioned note to someone special.
