She writes history and covers a variety of topics as a journalist. Deb has spoken to

from coast to coast. She serves on the selection committee for the Kansas Hall of
Fame and is president of the Shawnee County Historical Society. Deb is married to
Kansas Music Hall of Fame Musician Gary Bisel.

and Varina Davis, the two first ladies from the Civil War.
