I just came across these videos that show the wood gas Isuzu Trooper built by our friends at Beaver Energy in action and had to share them. Be sure to crank up the volume to 11 for the first one!

This is awesome. More useful as a source of heat than transportation fuel though. I own a stove that "reburns" and I love it. But the weight of wood necessary to make a common trip makes the efficiency so low that this is only practical as a demonstrator for kids to think up the next *best thing*.
