Annie Warmke, Farmer and Owner of Blue Rock Station

Name: Annie Warmke

Occupation: Farmer and owner of Blue Rock Station, the premier sustainable living farm in Ohio

Place of Residence: Blue Rock, Ohio

Current Projects: Annie’s current projects include the development of a goat school at Blue Rock Station and editing a book about photovoltaic installation. By the end of 2013, she hopes to have completed a book about earth plastering and mosaic. The outline for Drinking Rainwater in America is underway as well.

In 2014, Annie will be working with sustainable club members at Hiram College and the University of Dayton (ETHOS Engineering Club) on the topic of leadership through advocacy and marketing, plus guest teaching at the Universite de Savoie, France, consulting on a variety of sustainable living projects, and traveling to Pontecherry, India, to visit and live with goat farmers (April 2014).

Other Fun Facts: Annie doesn’t like meat — she hates the smell of liver. She’s been with the same guy for 32 years and still adores him. Annie would love to fluently speak five different languages so she could drive boring people crazy.
