John Rockhold is the managing editor for Mother Earth News. Always on the go, he coordinates the efforts to produce the magazine, Web site and e-newsletters. Speaking of go, he covers the green transportation beat for Mother Earth News, and has written or edited dozens of articles on hybrids cars, electric vehicles and maximizing gas mileage. He’s proud of the 35+ mpg he eeks out of his Honda Civic and is always looking for new ways to reduce his home’s utility bills. He’s also proud of the University of Kansas, from which he graduated in English and Magazine Journalism.

Additionally:

• Served as a judge for an Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications student writing competition.

• Served as judge for the 2007 Folio magazine Eddie awards.  Also appeared as a speaker at the show.

• Former Secretary/Treasurer of the Renewable Fuels & Sustainable Transportation division of the American Solar Energy Society.

• Frequent guest speaker at the University of Kansas.

• Numerous guest appearances on the Conscious Talk radio program.
