Brandy Bar, achievable Shanty Boat

I've looked at many boat plans, a plywood Eventide, many of which have been built. A fast sloop, like a small Sprit Yacht, only one known to have been built, a ply and glass sailboat, a few have been built, and a steel narrow boat, only one known to be built.
The boat Brandy Bar is designed to be easy to build, has enough accommodation to live on, materials are easy to obtain, and could be built in a sensible time. The makings of a great Shanty Boat.
Wood is now expensive, but ordinary lumber may be used, cheaper fixtures and fittings can be used, depending on your pocket. The 25 HP outboard recommended, would cost a lot new with remote control, but a second hand unit could be found, it is not going to get hard use on a Shanty Boat. My main gripe, I will have to find room for a washing machine, my one requirement. Compact living, yes, but you wouldn't be considering a Shanty Boat if that was a problem. You have to downsize anyway. Currently, I live on a 31ft (ca. 9 m) lumpy water sail boat, and I am looking for more comfortable accommodation, in my seventh decade. Maybe I will build it.
