This hands-on class is ideal for those planning to live off grid, anyone wanting to install their own battery power system, and Preppers wanting electrical power long after a grid down or EMP event. Attendees will be given hands-own instruction using actual name brand solar inverters, charge controllers, and batteries, plus class participation in learning basic D.C wiring and wiring safety for solar arrays and battery banks. Some basic knowledge of electrical terms and hand tools will be helpful, but this introductory solar class will be limited to working with low-voltage D.C. power systems and appliances. PLUS get a copy of Jeff Yago's book Lights On with the purchase of a hands-on pass to this class.
A ticket is required to participate in select Hands-On workshops. Space is limited. To guarantee your spot we recommend ordering an advance pass. A small number of passes will be available to purchase at the event.
All Hands-on workshops are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
