Many traditions have long revered the sun for its magnificent qualities, including the ancient Egyptian, Aztec, Buddhist, Chinese, Christian, Baltic, and Greek cultures. In Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science of healthy living (yoga’s sister science), the sun plays a central role in a set of recommended daily lifestyle practices for amazing health at the physical level. The sun is also a symbol of wealth, knowledge, inner power, and the illumination of your very soul in the yoga and Ayurveda traditions. Ananta Ripa Ajmera, author of The Ayurveda Way, gives an inspiring talk that introduces several simple, yet powerful daily practices to empower you to embrace your soul power by inviting the sun (which symbolizes your own soul) to inspire your actions. Learn two powerful hands-on morning practices to help you connect with the sun from the ancient Vedic tradition. Experience an uplifting lineage-based Ayurvedic morning yoga practice you can start to do to welcome the power of the sun into your life. Practice a special sun meditation that Ajmera learned from her spiritual teacher Acharya Shunya's ancient lineage. These practices have helped her overcome the root causes of her years of eating disorders, anxiety, insomnia, and stress. This lecture and the practices shared help people start feeling guided by the light of their own higher consciousness to make choices that bring themselves and the world around them abiding health and happiness
