    Preparation coupled with some fundamental outdoor survival skills are the keys to surviving emergencies. In this extended session Dennis Biswell and Matt Stephens share their plans for surviving a variety of emergencies. Home emergencies, like weather disasters; Auto and travel problems, like being stuck in a blizzard; and Outdoor situations, like when a fall turns a hunting trip into an overnight stay. In addition to preparing and planning you will also practice skills that will help you stay alive.

    Take home all you need to know to start grazing right away! Wherever you are and whatever your experience level, there's a ruminant to match your land and your budget. Learn about different fencing systems and strategies, portable water systems, pasture plants, and how to plan, set up, and move paddocks. Find out how to manage seasonal variations, multiple species grazing, and dairy and meat animals. Shawn and Beth Dougherty, authors of The Independent Farmstead, share their twenty-plus years of experience in grass and livestock management to help you overcome your grazing challenges.

This workshop will get you growing, and you’ll leave understanding the best ways to cultivate delicious mushrooms at home or on your farm. You’ll learn about inexpensive start-up options for beginners, and many commercial ideas to expand on.

    This class will energize your efforts and maximize your production!
