South Windsor, CT: ClearSpan Fabric Structures, a division of ESAPCO, is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Vermont’s AgriLab Technologies, a company specializing in heat capture and transfer from aerobic composting.
AgriLab’s cutting-edge ISOBAR™ technology moves heated vapor, averaging 120°-150°F, produced by the composting process across closed-loop, gas-charged tubes to collect and capture the heat. This energy can then be used for various purposes, potentially saving users thousands a year in propane and diesel fuel costs. The dried out compost can also be used as bedding, another expense that animal owners can now avoid.
With both energy and fertilizer costs increasing, AgriLab’s technology will play a key role in management of most organic materials which need to be recycled, returned to farm soils and diverted from landfills, reducing methane and CO2 emissions. This technology is very easy to manage, and safe and cost effective to operate. A reliance on compost and its benefits will help lower the carbon footprint of food production globally, while also supporting local economic activity.
AgriLab’s ISOBAR™ technology allows for heat to be captured in a controlled environment. Compost bays must be covered, which is why their partnership with ClearSpan is key: there is no better way to protect such a precious resource than with a premium fabric-covered building that provides a clear expanse of space and a naturally regulated climate. ClearSpan buildings are of the highest available quality, and provide the versatility necessary to maximize the benefits of AgriLab’s ISOBAR™ systems.
ClearSpan’s commitment to sustainable building practices and forward-thinking advancements made working with AgriLab a natural fit. ESAPCO CEO and founder Barry Goldsher says, “We have long admired AgriLab’s work, and know that we can help connect their groundbreaking technology with our wide network of customers and peers while also significantly expanding their business model. We hope that working with AgriLab will set a much-needed precedent in our industry, encouraging companies to collaborate and forge new paths toward eco-friendly practice and innovation.
AgriLab Technologies, LLP specialize in heat capture and transfer from the aerobic management and composting of organic materials such as food waste, organic industrial by-products of food processing, farm-generated manure and bedding materials. AgriLab currently manages ISOBAR™ systems in three sizes, catering to the needs of smaller hobby farms up through large operations with significant daily heat and hot water needs. http://www.agrilabtech.com
