CLERMONT, FL –– Uncle Matt’s Organic, best known for their line of premium organic orange juices, announced today the launch of its new 100% organic, not-from-concentrate, orchard-style apple juice. A delicious blend of U.S.A.-grown seasonal apples including Fuji, Gala, Golden, Granny Smith, and Red Delicious, Uncle Matt’s apple juice is unfiltered and dark brown, with swirls of nutrient-rich apple pectin containing healthy antioxidants and essential dietary fiber. Uncle Matt’s also utilizes a “cold-pressed” method which preserves fresh-picked flavor for a premium juice –– the way nature intended.
“Most organic apple juices on the market today are ‘hot-filled’ in aseptic glass bottles and are made to be shelf stable,” explains Matt McLean, CEO and founder of Uncle Matt’s Organic. “Our cold-pressed method for extraction and bottling exposes our juice to less heat, which means less damage to flavor and nutritional content. We’re proud that our juice is full of fresh natural flavor, essential nutrients and fiber, and is of course, USDA organic.”
This year, the Environmental Working Group named conventionally-grown apples as the #1 crop for pesticide residue on its “Dirty Dozen” list. “We think the launch of our apple juice is timely in light of the Environmental Working Group’s report,” adds McLean. “We’re happy to provide a healthy, nutritious apple juice alternative for families who enjoy this very popular flavor of juice.”
Offered in family-friendly BPA-free 59 oz. packaging, Uncle Matt’s flash-pasteurized apple juice is gluten-free and has no added ingredients, flavors, or preservatives. One 8 oz. serving is equal to one serving of fruit. And as with all of Uncle Matt’s products, our apple juice is harvested from apples that have been grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.
Available early September, 2011, in select Whole Foods nationwide, and distributed through UNFI, Albert’s Organics and Nature’s Best.
