Ingredients

  • Fresh turnips are as delicious as they are nutritious. This Sesame Roasted Turnips Recipe makes a great choice as a side dish for your next meal.

    Sesame Roasted Turnips Recipe

    1 tbsp sesame oil
    1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
    4 turnips (3 inches in diameter), peeled and cut into wedges
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp dried red pepper flakes
    1 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place sesame oil and honey in a baking dish. Add turnips, salt and red pepper flakes, then toss to coat the turnip pieces.
  • Roast uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring twice. Sprinkle on sesame seeds and roast 10 minutes more.
  • Serve warm, chilled or at room temperature. Serves 4.
