Family recipes have long sweetened our holidays and provided fun bonding time. Here’s a baked fudge recipe that we’ve had great success with over the years.

Ingredients:

• 4 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 cup flour
• 3/4 cup nuts, chopped
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients in the order listed. Pour batter into a greased 9-by-13-inch pan and bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Let cool, then cut into 1-by-1-inch squares.
