OystersWe've been loving all of your awesome input for our new Real Food department in recent months. Next up, we want to know if any of you are getting great oysters from local, sustainable operations. Tell us where they are! Any other thoughts about oysters, suggested oyster-enjoying spots around the country and helpful information about sustainable seafood are welcome, too! Submit your comments in the Comments Section below, or email them to me at RealFood@MotherEarthNews.com.

To learn more about sustainability in our underwater world, check out the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program. You'll find everything you ever wanted to know about the best fishies for our bellies there!

No One knows oysters better than Dr. Sammy Ray, Professor for marine biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston. I met Dr. Sammy years ago and he educated a bunch of us about oysters. He is your best teacher on oysters.
