make your own cereal

Mixing rolled oats and wheat bran are a fine way to make your own cereal. The fruit is optional.

It seems that a lot of people are tired of high cereal costs and would like something natural for breakfast. I bought the items for my cereal at the local co-op and it saved me about $2.50. If you want to make your own cereal, here is my recipe. Hope you enjoy it.

1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup oat bran
1/2 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup unsulfured molasses

Mix ingredients well. Don't add water or bake.
Note: The amounts in the recipe can be adjusted to your convenience and other items such as rye flakes can be added for variation.
