Portland, Maine - Coast of Maine Organic Products, Inc. released their new video highlighting the changes to the popular Bumper Crop Organic Soil Amendment that Coast of Maine produces and distributes for Master Nursery Garden Centers .

Founded in 1996 by Carlos Quijano, Coast of Maine Organic Products, Inc. has always produced organically approved soils using shellfish based compost while highlighting and promoting the beauty and environmentally friendly atmosphere of the State of Maine.

“Because our distribution started with Carlos knocking on one garden center door at a time we have great loyalty to the independent garden centers that carry Coast of Maine products. We produce wonderful, organically approved soil products for the independent garden centers and then we help each garden center market and define itself. It was a perfect fit for us to work with Master Nursery and help them reformulate an incredible organic soil amendment that helps each member garden center compete in today’s competitive retail gardening world, “said Cameron Bonsey, Director of Marketing.

Coast of Maine worked closely with the Master Nursery staff and Soil Board to develop an all-purpose organic soil amendment that now includes mycorrhizae, worm castings, kelp and dehydrated manure in addition to the sphagnum peat most, cow manure compost, shellfish compost and the aged bark that made the original Bumper Crop Organic Soil Amendment so special.

“We wanted to tell the story of the new Bumper Crop recipe by using video,” said Bonsey. “I think we have been able to effectively tell the story of what made the original Bumper Crop so good and the effort and the thought process that has gone in to making it even better.”

Coast of Maine’s products are all approved by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association and can be found in independent garden centers throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West.
