Save Water at Home with This Face Washing Tip

Water conservation at home takes some foresight and awareness. Here’s a tip for how to save water when washing your face.

| October/November 2015

Every evening when I would wash my face, I used to have a dilemma: Wash my face with cold water, or waste precious water by letting the faucet run until the water was warm. Luckily, I found an easy solution for how to save water at home!

Most evenings, someone in my house decides to heat water in a kettle to make some tea. By the time we’re getting ready for bed, the water is no longer steaming hot, but it’s still nice and warm — perfect for pouring over a washcloth and scrubbing my face without having to run any more water.
