Great Backyard Bird Count
   Bill Harrison/The National Audubon Society

Attention bird lovers of America: It’s once again time for Audubon’s Great Backyard Bird Count. Anyone can participate — it’s fun and easy! On one or more days of the count (Feb. 13 though 16), simply count the various species you encounter in your area for at least 15 minutes, then enter the results on Audubon’s website. They even have a region-by-region checklist to assist those of us who haven’t had a lot of bird-counting experience. Click here to learn more.

BIRD LOVERS the way I woung up with hundreds of birds in my yard. I mixed Lard, Plain Yellow Corn Meal and Peanut Butter and put it in holes on boards or fence and smeared it in oak trees down in the rough bark. Worked like a magnet. I did not know so many different kinds of birds loved peanut butter. THEN I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK! Peanut Butter with-drawal by FDA. Sick people and dead people. What about my BIRDS? I found the nicest people nat ConAgro Foods (thius may not be sapelled rite) they make Jiffy and Peter Pan. They make their own peanut butter. I use 2 gallons at a time to mic my paste. Thank God I was using their brand. Got it on sale. hee hee hee. Thought I would pass this info on to you to share with bird lovers. Thanks Peggy
