Every year, Americans add to landfills millions of tons of electronics that contain toxic materials such as lead, mercury, cadmium, lithium and PVC. Consumers who want to support e-waste recycling often must pay recycling centers a fee to take the items. This year, Maine became the first state to require television and computer monitor manufacturers to pay these fees. In addition to curbing pollution, Maine’s new law encourages manufacturers to produce safer, easier-to-recycle products. For more information, visit the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

Are business, The Eco Hub, only sells refurbished products. By doing so, we keep those products from being thrown into the landfills of the country. We also recycle what we sell. Consumers can leave their old electronics equipment with us so that it gets properly recycled. In addition to the green purchase affect Refurbished products cost less. Refurbished units have been looked over closely and if needed, most probably, the largest product line's issue is fixed before you even have a chance to buy it. This makes those units more reliable than the off the self version. For more information about this green business visit: https://www.ecohubwi.com/save-money-and-the-planet-buy-refurbished/
