Mother Earth Embodied: Honoring Our Fertility

While we live our bodies are moving particles of the earth, joined inextricably both to the soil and to the bodies of other living creatures. It is hardly surprising, then, that there should be some profound resemblances between our treatment of our bodies and our treatment of the earth” ~ Wendell Berry

There is immense power in the integrity of my fertility whether or not I desire to create a baby. Being aware of the nuanced phases of my fertility not only helps me avoid,or achieve, conception, it connects me to the rhythmic nature of divine creative energy and the opportunity to thrive in harmony with it.

I experience and respect my cycle as a micro of the macrocosm of all creation.

I know myself to be Mother Earth embodied. The forces of nature whisper Pablo Neruda’s poetry to my ovaries:

“I want to do with you what spring does to the cherry trees.”

Really, is this the legacy you want to leave behind? Scientifically, women and girls (& men w/men) suffer the most under this fake-feminism or "sexual freedom" branding. Real feminism protects women. "Anything goes" doesn't. It doesn't protect anybody. The aftermath isn't even in the equation. Religion didn't design the human body. It simply recognized the impact that sexuality is unlike any other area of life. Unlike a fender bender, you don't bounce back very easily from sexual mistakes. No one says you have to be religious to care about your health and protect your livelihood. Thanks to "sexual freedom", its not "if" you'll get a disease, it's which one. Ironically, we're told to put all kinds of thought, planning, and prevention into all other areas of our lives, but in the pc world of sexuality, that's frowned upon, its "judging". "Sexual Freedom" is a fantasy, not reality. Disease and biological design, doesn't care about this "social movement". Promoting this kind of ignorance, this "no judging allowed"--even good judgement, is a dangerous idea. Its promoting the demise of our young people, not their health and well being. Using the same logic as Planned Parenthood, labeling abstinence education as "harmful", is like labeling a healthy diet free from refined sugar, drugs, and alcohol as "harmful" because temptation will always be there. I wouldn't doubt Planned Parenthood sponsored this article with our tax dollars. Lets be more aware of these stupid compliance tactics, especially with our sexuality where a great deal of our livelihood is at stake. The next generation doesn't have to inherit disease, decades of financial struggle, and emotional baggage, all of which, 100% AVOIDABLE when practicing abstinence until marriage, rather than dumb ideas about sex.

We have to grow more food in the next 50 years than we grew in the last 500 years and we need 6 million hectares of NEW farmland EVERY year to do it, but, we lose 12 million hectares of OLD farmland EVERY year due to soil degradation and loss. This means that earth has only 60 years of farming left, at current world soil degradation rates. Also, in 10 years, 2025, 66% of humanity will be short of fresh water. And, we already passed world peak production in 2006 for wheat, soy, corn and fish. We are also running out of cheap, accessible potassium and phosphates. These irreplaceable fertilizers cannot be manufactured by humans. The nitrogen cycle is so badly corrupted it kills off river and ocean life. We face mounting crop losses due to drought, flood and extreme weather. In less than 50 years, we will face runaway, unstoppable, irreversible catastrophic mass extinction.
