We’ve found a reliable way to prevent tick bites. We keep a Scotch tape dispenser handy, and when we find a tick, we simply laminate it! When we get into a whole nest of ticks, we grab our handy tape dispenser before the ticks have a chance to bite, and we quickly tape them all up.

All you have to do is pick up the tick with the sticky side of the tape, and then fold the tape over itself so the tick is trapped in the middle. It’s such a clean and easy way to dispose of these pesky critters before they can even latch on to you.

I work bee hives in a few farms. I remove tics as I find them. When I get home I remove all my clothes and they go into the wash. My boots/shoes are left outside and I check the truck seat too. Then when I'm stripped down I check again. My wife then checks me before taking a shower. I've found that the organic farms have many more tics than the 'chemical' farms. I'd rather pick off the 20-30 tics then have my bees in pesticide laden fields. But, sometimes we don't have a choice.
