Look and Find

| 8/29/2011 11:08:30 PM

The Tomato Hornworm can be as elusive as it is destructive. Here are a few pictures I took straight from our garden this evening. See if you can spot them all. One of the pictures includes three caterpillars. Notice the photo of the caterpillar eating on lambs-quarter instead of tomato. He seemed a little sickly.

It can be kinda fun hunting and finding them, though I doubt the fun is worth the price you pay for their destruction. Frustration is escalated when too much time is wasted at this game as well. Fortunately these were eating on some early summer determinate tomato plants that are past their prime. Good luck in your own look and find adventures in your garden!
