This recycled kettle grill gets a new life using old parts of a basketball hoop.
In 1985 I received a kettle grill as a Father's Day gift. After many years of faithful service, the legs rusted and no longer held up the grill. Unable to do without my trusted rib machine, I improvised and made a recycled kettle grill from old parts. An old basketball hoop, two c-clamps, and a piece of one-inch steel pipe about five feet long driven into the ground saved the day. The kettle sat in the hoop perfectly, and the hooks intended for the net were ideal for hanging grilling implements on.
