Use old shoulder pads to make a simple homemade pin cushion.

You can remove shoulder pads from worn-out shirts and use them to keep hand-sewing needles organized.

The color of the DIY pin cushion can designate the different grades of needles, or you can mark the grade of the needle on the shoulder pads with a felt-tip marker.
