Background: Jodi Kushins owns and operates Over the Fence Urban Farm, a cooperatively maintained, community supported agricultural (CSA) project located in Columbus, OH. The farm, founded in 2013, is an experiment in creative placemaking, an outgrowth of Jodi’s training as an artist, teacher, and researcher. Through her work on the farm, Jodi inspires others to be more self-reliant and eat better, with an emphasis on locally produced foods that are not only healthier for our bodies and the planet, but taste better than anything you’ll find in the big box markets.
