In January 2009, The Evergreen Institute (TEI) received notice that it has been approved as a training program for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association’s (MREA) site assessor certificates.
TEI’s courses in solar electricity, solar thermal systems (solar hot water) and small wind will now apply toward MREA’s PV Site Assessor, Small Wind Site Assessor, and Residential Solar Hot Water Site Assessor certificates.
The courses taken through our educational center in Gerald, Mo., will also apply toward continuing education credits required of all MREA certified site assessors. Site assessors are required to take eight hours of continuing education credits each year to maintain their certification.
