A New Bright Star in Solar Power Air Conditioning Solutions

Kingtec SolarThe formation of renewable energy Kingtec Solar start-up reads like a true "dream-turns-reality" of American entrepreneurship. Driven by a passion to create a window air-conditioner that runs off solar power, Naval architect and Marine engineer Jamie Edens took inspiration from the DC-powered air-conditioners that cool long-haul trucks across the USA. If truckers used such energy-efficient devices, why can't homeowners and businesses benefit from a similar concept?

What followed was an intense search to come up with a design for a truly green air conditioning unit that was affordable, easy to install and use. Upon scouring all available technologies and players around the globe, Edens finally designed an amazing product that fused existing anti-idle truck air conditioning technology with practical PV solar power technology. “Interest was some what overwhelming, especially during 100 degree days of summer” says Edens. A video about the air conditioner was a small smash hit with over 100,000 views in less than a year, However Edens did not have the resources to go into mass production.

Earlier this year (2012) Kingtec Technologies, a world renowned leader in truck, bus, and RV air conditioners agreed to produce the air conditioner. Edens is pleased to announce the launching of his start-up venture Kingtec Solar with Kingtec Technologies and the unveiling of his green AC, the K25Z-4. The K25Z-4 is a 16000 BTU piece of renewable energy marvel that is capable of running at an amazing 18.8 E.E.R or completely off the grid. That's a stunning 320% more efficient than a conventional "energy efficient" window air conditioner based upon similar running conditions. The Kingtec K25Z-4 will not only cut the spiraling out of control energy demand from the power-hungry air-conditioning unit of the world but it can also cut a struggling families electric bill significantly.
