I make oat meal flour using Quaker Oats and upright blender, using a recipe for whole wheat with gluten, I substitute 25-33% of whole wheat with oat meal flour!

My neighbor repeats a 75-year old family saying,"the whiter the bread..the sooner you're dead".......some truth to that!

I totally believe in whole wheat bread. I have been making my own for years, and I must add, much trial and error, but now I turn out 4 perfect loaves every time. I've even gone to grinding my own flour now, just to make sure it's WHOLE wheat flour.
