The kids balked at this, but not blended vegetable pizza.
I was the only man with a home day care license in the Minneapolis area for 10 years. The kids loved the homemade pizza I served for lunch, but the picky eaters would balk at the sight of peppers, onions and mushrooms on the pizza.
To fix this problem and still provide a nutritious meal, I started putting the “offensive” ingredients in a blender along with the pizza sauce. The kids never noticed the addition of blended vegetables. As time went on, I added tiny chunks of the veggies to the pizza until the kids were comfortable with normally sliced toppings and could eat a vegetable pizza.
