Homemade Maple Syrup in The Ozarks

The season may be a lot shorter than in Vermont, but residents of The Ozarks can collect sap for homemade maple syrup too.

Homemade maple syrup starts with a borehole. Tom drilled this one on the south side of one of his trees because those on the "sunny south" side are usually the most productive.
